We are beyond grateful for Yana and the incredible work she did on our elopement day. She captured our day beautifully and made us feel comfortable and at ease from the very beginn...
ing. She has an incredible eye for detail, light, and emotion, and every photo we received reflects that talent. Our gallery is filled with moments that feel real, intimate, and timeless.
Not only is Yana extremely skilled, but she’s also kind, calm, and so easy to work with. She truly went above and beyond, and we are so thankful to have had her document such a special moment in our lives. She is someone you can trust to see the emotion, the in-between moments, and everything that makes the day yours. We highly recommend her and her work, and we will continue to ask her to document more milestones in our lives.
We could not be happier with our choice of working with Yana as our photographer for our wedding activities! She was immediately responsive to our inquiry, sent customized packages...
based on our needs, and was flexible throughout the year and a half that we worked with her. We actually worked with Yana for photos of our engagement, elopement, rehearsal dinner, and large family wedding! We enjoyed working with her so much we kept adding on more as we went.
Yana’s creativity was something we treasured— her suggestions were thoughtful and we always felt encouraged to be our authentic selves. The unposed shots that we were unaware of her taking were often our favorites in the end. Yana’s beautiful documentary and fine art style photos allow us to look back at our day and remember the feelings we associate with those moments.
We can’t say enough about her willingness to meet us where we were in the process— from helping us set a timeline to giving realistic feedback and being willing to make the best out of some crazy weather. She was able to capture beautiful photos of us in 98 degree heat and humidity for our engagement, freezing 4 degree blizzard conditions for our elopement, pouring rain during our rehearsal dinner, and beautiful spring sunshine on our wedding day. My husband can feel a little camera shy, but her focus on movement and giving us small prompts kept us feeling comfortable in front of the camera despite the weather conditions and people around us.
On our big family wedding day, she helped us stick to our timeline, helped wrangle family members, and helped coordinate with our other vendors as well. My family had some specific photo requests (and I had a few myself), and Yana was able to work with me to make sure my whole family was satisfied— which is no small feat.
We highly recommend Yana for your wedding and elopement! She was simply the best!

On our wedding day she was very punctual and prepared. Not only was she on time but she was also keeping everyone else in-line and making sure we got all our photos done on time!
Our photos could not have turned out better! We are SO happy with all of the photos and the way everything turned out. Both our parents and plenty of people in our wedding party also couldn’t believe how great Yana was on the day of the wedding. Not only that but once we got the photos and posted a preview of them an incredible amount of people asked who our photographer was.

id an incredible job. Despite the windy conditions, she perfectly captured the story and essence of our wedding. Each photo is filled with personality, and the unique traits of our family and friends shine through beautifully.
We really loved working with Yana. Having never worked with a photographer before and not considering ourselves super photogenic, we were amazed at how natural the experience felt. Yana gave us small, helpful cues, but overall, everything felt effortlessly natural. She blended in seamlessly, making the whole process enjoyable and stress-free.
Yana is truly an artist and I am so happy we made the best decision ever in working with Yana for our wedding. Thank you, Yana, for your exceptional work and for making our wedding memories so vivid and special.

ceptive to the vibes we wanted to portray. I was worried that I would need a lot of direction on the wedding day due to my nerves. She was able to guide me and my husband into the best angles as well as capturing the best candids. I don’t think I am alone when I say that as the bride, I was worried that our wedding pictures would not capture the beauty of how I would feel in those special moments. I am so happy to say that my worries were swept away. I have never felt more beautiful than I did after seeing Yana’s photos of our special day. We made the best decision ever in hiring Yana for our wedding. The. Best. Decision. Ever.

g day, Yana provided the perfect mix of communication + using her professional judgement. The most important part - out wedding photos are beautiful! Every time I look at them I end up adding more favorites, I'm over 200 already. Couldn't recommend her enough.

Yana was always available for questions and suggestions and made our last minute preparations less stressful! She creatively turned a very simple setting and small gathering into a joyous and magical event. After our home ceremony, Yana accompanied the bride and groom to another picturesque location for additional photos, and then to our final destination for the reception. Her photography exquisitely captured many spontaneous, as well as planned moments, creating a memorable keepsake of the entire day and evening. Thank you Yana for your talent and this incredible gift!

w who took a particular picture. I followed her on instagram, and was blown away with all the couple and elopement photos she's taken.
My fiance and I had our engagement photos done at Manistee Lake and took beach photos during the sunrise. We don't consider ourselves particularly photogenic, but holy moly these pictures were amazing! We felt adventurous and Yana guided us through poses and made us feel very natural.
Our wedding was a dream, everything felt so flawless and easy and once we received our sneak peaks, I was in awe. Every aspect of the day was captured and I was brought to tears when thinking back on the day. The candids were wholesome to see, and I am going to treasure all of the family portraits. The details, lighting, posing, editing, etc. were all top notch. Her creativity definitely shows and we had so much fun during our wedding, it's so hard to choose favorites. Highly highly recommend Yana for your engagement photos, elopement, or wedding :)
I can think of so many reasons to book Yana for your wedding photography. One, she travels ANYWHERE with you and your partner to do a unique adventure engagement shoot. We asked he...
r to travel to a remote part of eastern KY to one of our favorite hiking spots, and she was totally game and the photos were spectacular. Two, she is great at making couples feel comfortable during the shoot - she has a very warm, relaxed energy and has great ideas for poses and shots. Three, she's got a great eye and she's always on trend. Four, she's a real professional - she works quickly and efficiently to take breathtaking shots so that you get to spend the maximum amount of time with your wedding guests. She can easily adapt her plan to work with the lighting conditions and surroundings, whatever they may end up being. Five, and finally, take a look at her work! It speaks for itself. My now-husband and I had such a great experience with Yana. She was thoroughly invested in us and our story, and she went above and beyond to capture our day! We heartily recommend her to other couples.

ugh the day of photos, and ultimately working closely together to build our wedding album. I would say my favorite part about working with Yana was her calming presence on the day of our wedding. She put us at ease taking photos (we are not big on having our photos taken) and everyone said they never even noticed we had a photographer throughout the day/night! The photos were so beautiful that we ended up ordering an album with as many that the book would fit! I would highly recommend working with Yana for your event :)
In addition to the amazing photography, Yana and Sardar captured our wedding and engagement with the most dynamic videography! Sardar is the best cheerleader and director who made ...
us feel completely comfortable every step of the videography process.
Their amazing editing has made for some AWESOME sneak peek videos, reels, and social media content- we cannot wait to see the final product of everything together. The drone footage from our engagement session still has us swooning.
We cannot recommend exploring their video opportunities enough!

d and prompt in the most go-with-the-flow way; such a rare find! She captured every raw moment so flawlessly, looking back on our photos is truly reliving every real moment. Yana got to know us as a couple and make great recommendations for our engagement shoot as well. By the time of our wedding, we felt super comfortable with Yana and she gave us amazing direction and prompts without compromising the authenticity of each moment. Yana is an incredible storyteller with her photos, she will make your experience truly dreamlike. If you're looking for an artist, friend and visionary for your special event, look no further!

r wedding, and Yana was able to re-create some absolutely beautiful and whimsical photos for us. I also personally hate being photographed and had a ton of anxiety about the experience, but Yana is such a joy to work with and put me immediately at ease. She was also such a champ about rescheduling around our chaotic work schedules, weather and location changes. She took so many great photos and was incredibly quick in getting our edited images to us and they are great quality. If we ever needed photos again I would reach out again in a heart beat and definitely recommend her work, she is a delight.

ped us ad-lib for our photos; she even found an old vintage velvet couch and added that to our photos which ended up being the favorites! My husband and I both love her work and wish we could do it all again with Yana with us! She has a very unique, artistic touch that makes your photos feel way more special than a simple posed shoot.

Our experience working with Yana for our wedding in June 2021 was a dream. She was able to return our photographs in a gallery in a fast amount of time and was always quick to answer my emails and texts. The pictures perfectly reflected what we were looking for: a candid view of our wedding day with gorgeous lighting and colors. We would highly recommend her for your wedding or special occasion!

bly. I contacted Yana for a winter couple session; and boy, did she went above and beyond! Yana was super flexible in scheduling, due to the nature of our photoshoot had to be when there is enough snow, or not too much that the driving condition is bad. During the shoot, Yana made sure we stayed in our comfort zone, but all the while delivered AMAZING, state-of-the-art candid pictures. Yana was the most genuine person I've ever met, great communication from the start. I think we've found our photographer for every milestones and occasions in our life. I cannot recommend Yana Benjamin Photography highly enough!
I don't know where to even start. Yana is truly a beautiful being. I knew when I was looking through her website that she was the photographer for us. Not only did she deliver amaz...
ing wedding photos but more importantly she made me feel at ease. One less thing to worry about. Weddings can be so stressful! I tend to be very sensitive to energy and sometimes worry about things incessantly so of course our wedding wasn't an exception. haha. But her responsiveness and attention to detail really put me at ease. I felt she was as invested as we were in our wedding. It was never weird or awkward to have her around. She blended right in with our guests. I can't express how happy we are that we picked Yana as our wedding photographer. She was everything I could've dreamed for and more. Her vision really aligned with everything we wanted. She went above and beyond -- always had great suggestions. She knew our theme was "Romantic Boho" and even offered to bring her own peacock chair as a prop. Which was so thoughtful and outside the box. I felt that we were always on the same page and that really resonated with me. Its so important for me to feel a connection and thats what I felt when working with her. I highly recommend Yana for your wedding, elopement, etc.

dibly talented at capturing genuine interactions. She makes you feel comfortable the entire time which reflected in the photos and they really came out beautifully. She suggested our location and we couldn't have loved it more. Would recommend her to anyone!! Cannot wait for her to capture our Wedding next year.
In every way Yana exceeded our expectations. We were lucky enough to secure her services with relatively short notice. We knew nothing about adventure elopement, other than we want...
ed our day to be unique, special and beautiful, and that it would just be the two of us. Our plan was loose, with only a general idea of where we wanted to hold the ceremony. We definitely needed some guidance.
Without prompting, Yana provided half a dozen adventurous location options (and weather contingencies), including details such as hotel recommendations, how to secure flowers and makeup, and food options in each location. Yana then actively helped us narrow down our options and ultimately choose the ideal wedding spot.
The day of the ceremony, Yana was punctual, considerate and thoughtful. Her demeanor was laid back and she was dedicated to making sure we were getting the most romantic and creative images. We very much enjoyed her company throughout the event. It was a fun and professional day.
Finally, both the turnaround time and photo quality were orders of magnitude more excellent than we could have imagined. Colorful, expressive and bold, the photographs captured the moment while leaping from the page. Truly incredible. We have been begging to show them to everyone we see.
We absolutely recommend Yana to anyone looking to elope. Amazing service, quality and experience.

I feel so incredibly comfortable with her and made our whole wedding day go extremely smoothly and without a hitch. I would book her a million times over if I could!

ement photos done, but have never done professional photos before, and had to start from scratch. We didn’t know what the best location to be, what to wear, or anything. Working with Yana was the answer to all of those questions! She suggested we do it at the Silver Lake Dunes on Lake Michigan, and the photoshoot that ensued was nothing short of a complete delight. She was very professional and gave us plenty of directions, while also keeping it fun and lighthearted. It’s a tough task to make two people unfamiliar with posing or photography look and feel comfortable, but she did both seamlessly. We spent two fun hours doing a series of different positions, angles, activities, etc, and to say that the photos turned out wonderfully would be a huge understatement! We had high expectations since we knew that she was talented from her posts on Instagram, but she still managed to blow us away! We hoped to have the photos ready to send Save the Dates in a month, but she had nearly all of them processed in two days! Delivering that kind of all around great, considerate service, while still making it all an enjoyable experience is what sets Yana apart. So to sum it all up, like we said earlier, if you want a photographer who will capture all the love and emotions of your special moments and provide a wonderful experience, you couldn’t ask for a better person than Yana!

ive to all of my wants and plans for the day. She captured everything we talked about and more. I had interviewed a lot of photographers before finally finding Yana, during the initial phone meeting she listened to what I wanted and offered great suggestions. She was very professional through the whole process and made me and my husband feel relaxed when we are typically very awkward in front of a camera . I just love all of the photos from the day! Her artistic eye not only for the perfect candid shot but the overall editing makes the photos look and feel so natural and effortless. Looking through our photo gallery instantly takes us back to that day. Her photos truly captured all of the emotions and joy of our wedding.

emselves - she is able to capture so much love and the essence of the moment in her photographs. Throughout the whole process she was extremely professional and flexible. We had a large wedding and wedding party, so we were able to customize our package with her to have a second assistant photographer, which was great. As we were planning, she helped me figure out a good timeline for when we should be ready, do our first look, take pictures with the bridal party, etc., which was such a relief because I've never planned a wedding before. She also had some great ideas about where to go to take pictures (we ended up on Belle Isle and took pictures with the bridal party on the beach and in front of the fountain - so romantic!).
The day of the event she showed up right on time, did an awesome job directing everyone and getting all the shots we needed. Working with Yana was so easy and delightful, and we have absolute faith in the quality of her work. 10/10 experience all around.

te the huge number of our family, she remained very patient and put every effort to make the best pictures possible. My husband and I took a look at our wedding pictures just yesterday, and I was so impressed. When you see pictures that people take for you, sometimes they don't look natural. However, almost every single one of our wedding pictures were "the moments" themselves. They look very natural, and when I look at those pictures, I feel like I'm there at the wedding again.
So if you're finding a wedding photographer, I definitely recommend Yana. You won't regret it :)
